“ONE PIECE” takes over Yamanote Line and Shueisha

With the popular manga “ONE PIECE” having over 200 million copies in print, the manga will now take over JR’s Yamanote Line starting on February 17th. The campaign will last for two weeks until March 1st, as the straw hat pirates take over the train’s advertisement boards and monitors. This marks the first time JR has done a collaboration and made everything manga-fied.
Out of an 11 car train, cars 2 through 10 will be filled with popular scenes from all of the characters in the manga. Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook will cover the inside of the cars.
In addition to that, Shueisha will be having a campaign of their own due to the 200 million copy mark. The covers of all their magazines will be plastered withcharacters from ONE PIECE, regardless of genre. So whether it’s a fashion magazine or a literary magazine, they will all have covers with “ONE PIECE” characters on them.
