Kagrra to disband!

J-rock band Kagrra has officially announced that they will be going their separate ways after their “Shuuen ~Sakura Maichiru ano Oka de~” concert on March 3rd.
Kagrra’s official site posted the shocking announcement with comments from the different members.  Vocalist Isshi stated, “I am satisfied with where we are currently and ending it here.”  Guitarist Shin added, “Present day Kagrra has achieved what I wanted us to do.  I thought if we did any more activities, it would be forcing it.”
The band will be releasing their last album, “Hyakkikenran“, on February 2nd of 2011. The album will help to kick off their last tour on February 13th, which will take them to five different venues across Japan before they disband in Tokyo in March.
Kagrra seems to have had quite a tough year, as this announcement is right on the heels of the one they made in September about canceling due to Isshi losing his voice. Yet the band asserts that they are dissolving not because of the performance issues, but because of creative differences.

It’s a shame that this much-beloved group will be parting, but we know that we’ll be grabbing a copy of their final album as a nod to their career. Check out the tracklist for ‘Hyakkikenran’ and the tour dates below:
