"Right now we are working really hard in hopes of getting our new record out next year," reveals bassist Toshiya.

"Thank you for loving us and supporting us wherever we go. We hope to be able to repay you back with greater songs from us." He said after.

It will come in two version. The second version [CD+DVD] will include the 1/100 video + 3 others and documentary footage.

Ikimonogakari’s best album tops the Oricon Weekly Charts again

 

Ikimonogakari released their first best album, “Ikimonobakari ~members’ BEST selection~“, on November 3rd, and it topped the Oricon Weekly Album Chart for November 15th with the sales of 457,421 copies, and amazingly, the album topped this week’s weekly album chart (the week of November 22nd) for the second week in a row.
It sold about 207,000 copies in the second week, and now the total sales have reached 664,000 copies, which is the #2 of all albums released in 2010. (#1, of course, is Arashi’s “Boku no Miteiru Fukei“)

GACKT wraps up academy-themed fan club tour

 

On November 14th, GACKT wrapped up his latest fan club tour, “Kamui ♂Gakuen de Fukinakai” at the Chiba Port Arena. The tour, which was also held last year, visited three cities across the country.
Continuing with the theme from last year, the rocker played the part of a class president, while the audience acted out the role of students for the “Kamui ♂Gakuen school festival”.  To match the theme of the event, all attendees had to meet the dress code by wearing school uniforms.
To pump up the audience before the main event, GACKT held a contest to pick out “Mister and Miss Kamui ♂Gakuen” from the audience. Hilariously, he hammed up the entire scenario with his band and backup dancers.
For the main event, GACKT sang cover songs from 14 different artists, and also introduced a new element to his live that features the artist on the drums.

700 high school boys go crazy over AKB48

 

Popular idol group AKB48 members, Takahashi Minami, Watanabe Mayu, and Miyazawa Sae showed up as special guests at the private showing event held for the upcoming Hollywood movie, “Unstoppable” on November 17th.  The private showing was held at Iwakura High School which is an all boys’ school, and educates the students to become railroad men.
700 students of the high school were clueless on who would appear as the special guests, so when the host announced the names of the AKB48 girls, the boys started going all crazy and the girls were overpowered by the energy of boys.  At the event, AKB girls gave the boys “Big station Bento” (packaged boxed meal) as a present, and gave cheers to the students, saying, “Please eat a lot, and be brave railroad men!”
